🗂️ Investigation Log #001
Date: 27 May 2026
Classification: Initial Intelligence
Filed By: Cat Crimes HQ
Summary
Dumpling first came to the attention of Cat Crimes investigators following a series of unexplained Greek yoghurt thefts. Empty pots, suspicious dairy smears and repeated appearances near the refrigerator quickly placed the fluffy black suspect under investigation.
The strongest evidence was discovered after a late-night raid, when yoghurt-covered paw prints were found leading away from the scene. Unfortunately, the trail was destroyed before forensic teams arrived after a neighbouring dog licked the evidence clean.
Dumpling continues to deny all involvement, but remains the prime suspect and is being closely monitored around refrigerators, dairy products and unattended Greek yoghurt.

Detective Report #002
Badge Code: BCIC-003
Original Location: Fable Book Café
Final Location: Peel Park Office
Suspect: Dumpling – The Greek Yoghurt Thief
Suspected Disguise: Tiggs – The Backyard Scrapper
Custody Outcome: Released without charge
Public Sighting: Confirmed
A Cat Crimes detective located a suspect at Fable Book Café and initially identified him as Tiggs – The Backyard Scrapper, who was wanted for questioning.
The suspect was transported to the Cat Crimes office at Peel Park without incident and escorted into Interview Room Two.
Shortly before questioning began, officers noticed that the suspect appeared unusually calm, remarkably fluffy and showed no interest in threatening, scratching or intimidating anyone.
The suspect was identified as Dumpling – The Greek Yoghurt Thief, apparently operating under an extremely unconvincing Tiggs disguise.
Investigators remain unable to explain how the original detective failed to notice the difference, given that Tiggs is considerably meaner, scarier and far less likely to cooperate during transport.
Before Dumpling’s release paperwork could be completed, he was asked to wait outside Interview Room One while detectives dealt with another ongoing investigation.
The suspect spent approximately thirty minutes sitting on a waiting-room bench opposite the interview room. Officers believed Dumpling had fallen asleep during the delay and paid little attention to him while completing the necessary paperwork.
Although there is no evidence that Dumpling deliberately listened to the conversation, investigators now consider it possible that sensitive details of the ongoing enquiry were overheard.
At the time, officers regarded the delay as insignificant and made no formal record of Dumpling’s position outside the interview room.
Dumpling was not wanted for questioning in connection with any active offence at the time of his detention.
With no evidence available to justify continued custody, detectives were forced to release him from the Peel Park office without charge.
The refrigerator was empty, and Julie was reportedly extremely unhappy.
No paw prints, fingerprints or usable CCTV footage were recovered from the kitchen area.
No witnesses observed Dumpling entering the staff kitchen, and investigators were unable to establish any direct connection between the suspect and the missing yoghurt.
Although several officers privately believe Dumpling may have been responsible, there is currently no evidence supporting that conclusion.
Detectives are reminded that releasing the unit’s prime Greek yoghurt suspect before checking the staff refrigerator is not considered best investigative practice.
Desk Sergeant Julie has also requested that all future yoghurt stored within the Peel Park office be treated as protected evidence.
The significance of Dumpling’s time outside Interview Room One remains under review.
Witness Statement #003
Record Type: Detective Witness Statement
Badge Code: BCIC-005
Location: Fable Book Café
Suspect: Dumpling – The Greek Yoghurt Thief
Outcome: Still under consideration
Effect on Detective: Found him very cute
Cat Crimes HQ received a confirmed sighting of Dumpling – The Greek Yoghurt Thief at Fable Book Café on 12 July 2026.
Although the suspect appeared harmless, the reporting detective noticed Dumpling behaving unusually and paying close attention to the surrounding area.
The suspect appeared to be studying the layout of the premises and examining several areas as though assessing possible hiding places or escape routes.
He also paused frequently to look around before continuing to write, giving detectives the impression that he did not want anyone to see what he was recording.
No offence was witnessed, and the exact purpose of Dumpling’s visit remains unknown.
The reporting detective has not yet decided whether Dumpling will be retained in detective custody, passed to another investigator or released back into the field.
Despite his suspicious behaviour, the detective reported that Dumpling appeared extremely cute.
His notes and movements should be reviewed alongside any later incidents connected to Fable Book Café.
Detectives are reminded that appearing fluffy and adorable does not rule out suspicious intent.
Detective Report #004
Subject: Dumpling – The Greek Yoghurt Thief
Related Investigation: The Great Cheese Theft
Reason for Interview: Possible interference with an active investigation
Related Suspect: Kevin – The Cheese Monster
Interview Outcome: Released without charge
Public Sighting: No
Following a review of recent witness statements and internal records, detectives brought Dumpling – The Greek Yoghurt Thief in for questioning concerning possible interference in the Great Cheese Theft investigation.
Evidence previously regarded as insignificant was brought to the attention of investigators after Dumpling was observed behaving suspiciously at Fable Book Café.
Officers believed Dumpling was asleep throughout the delay. However, investigators can no longer confirm that this was the case.
12 July 2026: Dumpling was observed at Fable Book Café making notes, examining the café layout and studying tables, shelves, entrances, exits and areas where objects could potentially be left unnoticed.
Although neither incident appeared significant when first recorded, detectives now believe the two events may be connected.
When questioned about the notes seen at Fable Book Café, the suspect claimed he had been compiling a list of cafés that might serve Greek yoghurt.
Dumpling was unable to explain why his notes appeared to focus on entrances, exits, staff movements and possible hiding places rather than menus or available dairy products.
The suspect repeatedly redirected the conversation towards Kevin – The Cheese Monster, stating that Kevin’s well-documented interest in cheese made him the most obvious person for detectives to investigate.
No physical evidence was recovered directly linking Dumpling to the Great Cheese Theft or proving that he had attempted to interfere with the investigation.
Investigators were therefore unable to justify further detention, and Dumpling was released without charge.
He remains under active observation while detectives review the reliability and origin of evidence previously used to implicate Kevin.
His repeated attempts to point detectives towards Kevin, combined with his suspicious activity at Fable Book Café, have raised concerns that he may be attempting to influence the direction of the investigation from behind the scenes.
Detectives remain unable to determine whether Dumpling is protecting another suspect, attempting to frame Kevin or simply taking an excessive interest in an investigation that does not involve Greek yoghurt.
Detective Report #005
The Great Dairy Dash
Date: 4 September 2026
Subject: Dumpling — The Greek Yoghurt Thief
Criminal Identification: 001
Reporting Detective: Agent Squishy Dumpling
Location: Eat The Italian Way, St Anne's-on-Sea
Classification: Organised Dairy Theft — Suspected Meowleone Family Operation
Current Status: At Large
🍝 A Lunchtime Crime Scene
It was supposed to be a perfectly ordinary lunchtime visit to Eat The Italian Way.
A lovely meal, a relaxing afternoon and, most importantly, plenty of cheese.
But when Agent Squishy Dumpling arrived at the restaurant on 4 September, the scene was anything but ordinary.
The agent had barely made it through the door when a gang of suspicious-looking felines was spotted making a rather hurried departure.
On a stolen motorbike.
And leading the escape?
Dumpling.
A known member of the notorious Meowleone crime family and the organisation's preferred getaway driver.
Clearly, something was afoot. Or rather, several paws were making a very rapid exit.
🧀 The Great Dairy Heist
According to Agent Squishy Dumpling's eyewitness account, the fleeing felines had attempted to make off with the restaurant's entire supply of cheese and yoghurt.
An ambitious undertaking.
Possibly the most audacious dairy-related crime the Fylde Coast has ever witnessed.
Unfortunately, the operation appears to have encountered a slight logistical difficulty.
Somebody forgot to secure the cargo.
As the motorbike sped away, the stolen dairy products apparently began disappearing from the getaway vehicle.
Whether this was caused by poor packing, excessive speed or an unfortunate yoghurt-related incident remains under investigation.
Fortunately, Agent Squishy Dumpling confirmed there was still plenty of cheese and yoghurt available for lunch.
The restaurant had escaped a complete dairy disaster.
The criminals, however, had escaped with considerably less than they intended.
Or so investigators initially believed.
🐈⬛ The Meowleone Connection
What first appeared to be an opportunistic cheese robbery has now taken a rather more serious turn.
Cat Crimes HQ can confirm that Dumpling is a member of Don Meowleone's criminal organisation.
The Don is believed to operate a carefully structured network of specialists, each responsible for a particular part of the family's activities.
Niles, the notorious sausage thief, gathers intelligence on valuable sausage shipments, including when and where they are due to be transported.
Dumpling handles transportation, collections and high-speed getaways.
And overseeing the entire operation?
Don Meowleone himself.
The Don decides which opportunities are worth pursuing, brings the various parts of the organisation together and issues the final orders.
Nothing happens without his approval.
Which raises a rather important question.
Why would the Don authorise the theft of an enormous quantity of cheese and yoghurt?
Cat Crimes HQ believes it may finally have an answer.
🌭 Operation Stockport — The Dairy Diplomatic Mission
Whispers travelling along the Catnip Vine, Cat Crimes HQ's notoriously unreliable feline intelligence network, suggest that Don Meowleone has been considering expanding his empire beyond the Fylde Coast.
His proposed destination?
Stockport.
According to unconfirmed intelligence, one of the Don's littermates has been quietly operating a business in the area for some time.
Officially, it is believed to be a perfectly respectable enterprise with connections to the local sausage trade.
Unofficially?
Cat Crimes HQ has questions. A LOT of questions.
Investigators suspect the Don may be interested in persuading his mysterious relative to join the Meowleone organisation.
And what better way to begin negotiations than with a generous gift?
A carefully selected assortment of Italian cheese and yoghurt.
A gesture of goodwill.
A demonstration of the family's resources.
And possibly a rather cheesy invitation to join the criminal empire.
There was, however, one small problem.
The Don apparently neglected to obtain permission from the restaurant before arranging his little gift.
And so, what should have been a perfectly respectable business delivery became...
The Great Dairy Dash.
🏍️ Dumpling's Disastrous Delivery
With the goods acquired, the next stage of the operation should have been straightforward.
Collect the cargo.
Load the motorbike.
Head towards Stockport.
Deliver the samples.
Return with news of whether the Don's littermate was interested in joining the family business.
Simple.
Unfortunately, the Don had entrusted the delivery to Dumpling.
An excellent getaway driver.
A somewhat less accomplished delivery driver.
Witnesses reported seeing the gang racing away from Eat The Italian Way, apparently losing their precious dairy cargo along the way.
Cat Crimes HQ suspects the mission may have ended before the motorbike even reached the outskirts of St Annes.
The whereabouts of the missing cheese and yoghurt remain unknown.
The Stockport relative's response to the alleged business proposal has yet to be established.
And the Don?
Sources suggest he was absolutely furious.
After all, it is rather difficult to negotiate a family business partnership when your opening gift is scattered across the Fylde Coast.
🛵 Two Detectives. One Day. One Very Suspicious Coincidence.
The investigation took an unexpected turn when Cat Crimes HQ discovered another report filed on exactly the same day.
On 4 September 2026, Detective Ice-cream had also visited Eat The Italian Way.
During that investigation, a suspicious clue was discovered attached to a Vespa believed to have connections to Don Meowleone.
Two detectives.
Two separate discoveries.
And two suspicious motorcycles connected to the same criminal organisation.
Investigators now believe the vehicles may have been intended for different stages of Operation Stockport.
Dumpling's motorbike would transport the goods.
The Vespa could then carry the Don himself to Stockport for a discreet meeting with his mysterious littermate.
Was this an elaborate plan to expand the Meowleone empire?
Or simply an extraordinarily complicated way of delivering cheese?
Cat Crimes HQ is keeping an open mind.
Although the Don's involvement suggests something considerably more organised than an ordinary lunchtime robbery.
📦 The Curious Case of Rolo
During enquiries into the Meowleone organisation, investigators also received several rather peculiar reports concerning another family associate.
Rolo.
Witnesses describe Rolo as a somewhat confused individual who frequently appears to have absolutely no idea what is happening around him.
One unconfirmed account suggests he was spotted sitting inside an empty cardboard box shortly before the dairy incident.
Another claims he was examining a folded piece of paper while staring rather intently at the restaurant's rear entrance.
When questioned about the paper, Rolo reportedly explained that it was a takeaway menu.
He then attempted to put it on his head.
Cat Crimes HQ considers this entirely consistent with his usual behaviour.
Investigators have therefore concluded that Rolo is unlikely to have played any significant role in the operation.
After all, coordinating multiple vehicles, a dairy collection and a potential business meeting in Stockport would require exceptional organisational skills.
And this is Rolo we're talking about.
He has been removed from the list of priority suspects.
Rolo was last seen attempting to climb back into his cardboard box.
🕵️ An Agent With Excellent Timing
Despite arriving in the middle of what appears to have been a major organised dairy operation, Agent Squishy Dumpling remained remarkably composed.
The discovery reportedly made the agent smile.
An admirable response to witnessing several feline criminals fleeing on a stolen motorbike.
The agent has chosen to keep the recovered criminal identification card as evidence.
Cat Crimes HQ also notes the agent's appreciation for the suspect profiles, investigation activities and criminal artwork.
Clearly, an investigator with excellent taste.
And without Agent Squishy Dumpling's quick thinking, HQ might never have discovered the possible connection between the dairy theft and the Don's mysterious plans for Stockport.
🔎 A Family Reunion in Jeopardy?
The identity of Don Meowleone's Stockport littermate remains unknown.
Investigators have yet to establish whether the relative is interested in joining the organisation, whether any of the dairy samples reached their intended destination or whether the Don's proposed visit will still go ahead.
There is also growing concern that the missing delivery could be interpreted as a deliberate insult.
And in the Meowleone family, insults are not easily forgotten.
Particularly where food is concerned.
Sources suggest Mama Meowleone has already demanded to know why nobody thought to include sausages in the first place.
Niles has reportedly volunteered to handle the next delivery.
His offer was immediately declined.
🚨 Cat Crimes HQ Verdict
One stolen motorbike. One attempted dairy heist. One disastrous delivery. One mysterious littermate waiting somewhere in Stockport.
Cat Crimes HQ now believes the Great Dairy Dash may have been part of a much larger operation authorised by Don Meowleone himself.
Dumpling remains at large.
The missing dairy products have yet to be recovered.
The Don's proposed expansion into Stockport remains under investigation.
And the identity of the individual responsible for coordinating the finer details of the operation remains unknown.
Rolo has been assessed as posing little threat.
Members of the public are advised to secure all cheese, yoghurt and unattended motorcycles.
Any sightings of Rolo may be disregarded. He probably doesn't know where he is anyway. 🐾
