🗂️ Investigation Log #001

Date: 27 May 2026
Classification: Initial Intelligence
Filed By: Cat Crimes HQ

Summary

Rolo first came to the attention of Cat Crimes after an unusually high number of domestic “paper incidents” were reported across several neighbouring properties.

Initially dismissed as bored house cat behaviour, investigators became suspicious when every crime scene shared the same distinctive pattern. Toilet rolls had been completely unravelled, shredded into hundreds of strips and scattered with surprising precision throughout the property. In several cases the cardboard tube had been carefully separated and left standing upright in the centre of the devastation, almost as if the culprit was signing his work.

Witnesses consistently described a grey-and-white suspect leaving bathrooms moments before the attacks, often carrying loose paper in his mouth before disappearing around corners.

Although the damage caused is relatively minor, the emotional impact on victims has been considerable, particularly for anyone discovering the aftermath moments before guests arrived.

Rolo is currently believed to operate alone, striking without warning whenever fresh toilet rolls are left unattended.

Cat Crimes investigators have classified him as a repeat domestic nuisance and recommend all toilet paper supplies be stored securely until further notice.
