🗂️Investigation Log #001
Date: 27 May 2026
Classification: Initial Intelligence
Filed By: Cat Crimes HQ
Summary
It has come to the attention of Cat Crimes HQ that an unidentified feline suspect has been repeatedly observed lurking silently throughout the St Annes operational area.
Witnesses consistently describe a small black cat with unusually sharp canine teeth, often seen watching from the shadows before disappearing moments later. Despite several reports, the suspect has so far avoided any meaningful investigation.
Following initial enquiries, the suspect has been positively identified as Shrimpy, who has been assigned the alias “The Tiny Vampire.”
Although no evidence suggests the suspect possesses supernatural abilities, investigators agree the nickname is particularly fitting due to her habit of appearing unexpectedly before vanishing without trace.
The investigation has now been officially opened.

Record Type: Witness Statement
Location: Eat the Italian Way
Suspect: Shrimpy – The Tiny Vampire
Badge Reference: BCIC001
Status: Passed On
Incident Summary
Cat Crimes HQ has received the first confirmed sighting of Shrimpy – The Tiny Vampire.
The suspect was discovered at Eat the Italian Way by a detective whose identity has been withheld due to an ongoing undercover assignment.
Witness Statement
Investigator Notes
The reporting detective appears to have been briefly disarmed by Shrimpy’s unusually small size.
Despite feeling sympathy for the suspect, the detective chose not to retain her and instead passed her on, allowing the investigation to continue.
Detectives are reminded that small size should not be mistaken for innocence.
Investigation Log #003 Suspect Vanishes Without Trace
Record Type: Intelligence Brief
Location: Unknown
Suspect: Shrimpy – The Tiny Vampire
Status: At Large
Intelligence Summary
Following the first confirmed sighting of Shrimpy – The Tiny Vampire, Cat Crimes HQ has received no further confirmed reports regarding the suspect’s whereabouts.
Investigators believe Shrimpy has once again disappeared into the shadows, leaving no trace of her current location.
One unverified report claims the suspect vanished in a small puff of smoke shortly before she could be approached.
Cat Crimes HQ has been unable to establish whether this actually occurred or whether the report has become slightly more dramatic during transmission.
Investigator Notes
There is currently no reliable evidence to suggest that Shrimpy possesses genuine supernatural abilities.
The most likely explanation is that the suspect is exceptionally small, extremely quiet and very good at disappearing into places where investigators cannot reach her.
There is no evidence that Shrimpy vanished in a puff of smoke.
Unofficial position:
Nobody has yet explained where she went.
The investigation remains open.
Investigation Log #004 Vampire or Vegan?
Record Type: Internal Memo
Location: Cat Crimes HQ
Suspect: Shrimpy – The Tiny Vampire
Status: Investigation Ongoing
Investigation Summary
Following a number of increasingly unusual intelligence reports, investigators have been forced to reconsider one of the central assumptions surrounding Shrimpy – The Tiny Vampire.
Although the suspect’s unusually sharp canine teeth originally led investigators to suspect vampiric behaviour, numerous unexplained holes have now appeared in lettuce, cabbage and other leafy vegetables.
Several of the damaged vegetables were discovered in locations recently linked to the suspect.
This has prompted an unexpected new line of enquiry.
Current Theories
- Shrimpy is a genuine vampire.
- Shrimpy is not a vampire at all.
- Shrimpy is, in fact, a vegan.
- Shrimpy simply enjoys biting things.
Cat Crimes HQ has been unable to reach a unanimous conclusion.
Investigator Notes
There is currently insufficient evidence to determine whether the suspect has a preference for blood, vegetables, or simply enjoys confusing investigators.
Laboratory examination of the vegetable holes has been requested. Results remain pending.
Until further evidence is obtained, detectives are advised to exercise caution around both garlic and salad items.
Please stop referring to the suspect as “The Vegan Vampire” in official paperwork.
It is making the filing system unnecessarily complicated.
Investigation Log #005
The Florida Escape
Date Filed: 18 October 2026
Record Type: International Intelligence Report
Suspect: Shrimpy — The Tiny Vampire
Badge Identification: 007
Reporting Detective: Shrimps
Original Location: Mabel's Coffee Lounge, St Annes
Reported New Location: Florida, USA
Status: Re-hidden — Awaiting Discovery
Investigation Summary
Following months of confusion over whether Shrimpy is a vampire, a vegan, or simply a menace to vegetables, Cat Crimes HQ has received an extraordinary development.
The suspect has apparently fled the country.
Destination: FLORIDA, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
Investigators are now questioning whether this is an elaborate attempt to escape the ongoing vegetable investigation, or whether Shrimpy has discovered that Florida offers a considerably better selection of necks to bite.
HQ would like to remind everyone that the suspect's dietary preferences remain unconfirmed.
☕ The Mabel's Discovery
The latest intelligence was submitted by a detective operating under the name Shrimps.
The detective reported discovering Shrimpy's badge at Mabel's Coffee Lounge in St Annes.
The badge identification was 007.
Cat Crimes HQ has raised an immediate question regarding the detective's identity.
A detective named Shrimps just happens to discover a suspect named Shrimpy?
Convenient. Very convenient.
Investigators are not currently suggesting collusion.
But they have written the coincidence down in a very suspicious-looking notebook.
✈️ An International Incident
Under normal circumstances, a recovered badge may be kept or hidden somewhere new.
Detective Shrimps chose the second option.
Nothing unusual there.
Until HQ examined the reported new hiding location.
URGENT TRANSMISSION FROM HQ
RE-HIDE DESTINATION: FLORIDA.
NOT BLACKPOOL. NOT LYTHAM. NOT EVEN STOCKPORT.
FLORIDA. IN AMERICA.
Somebody please inform the International Feline Division.
According to the detective's report, badge 007 has now been hidden somewhere in Florida.
The exact location has not been disclosed.
HQ has no information regarding the suspect's travel arrangements.
No passport has been presented. No customs declaration has been located.
And no member of staff remembers approving international travel for a suspected vampire.
🦇 Vampire or Vegan — The Investigation Continues
Detectives have reopened Investigation Log #004, in which Shrimpy became the subject of an unusual dietary inquiry.
The suspect's distinctive canine teeth originally suggested possible vampire activity.
However, a series of suspicious holes in lettuce, cabbage and other leafy vegetables complicated matters.
HQ was left considering several possibilities.
Shrimpy might be a vampire.
Shrimpy might be a vegan.
Or Shrimpy might simply enjoy biting things.
The sudden move to Florida has done absolutely nothing to clarify the situation.
Investigators are now considering whether the suspect has travelled overseas in search of new victims, new vegetables, or simply somewhere warmer to lurk.
One junior detective suggested that Florida's sunshine would be an unusual choice for a vampire.
Another pointed out that Shrimpy has never been particularly cooperative with established vampire rules.
The debate remains unresolved.
🌴 Operation Sunshine
Cat Crimes HQ has provisionally opened an international monitoring operation under the codename OPERATION SUNSHINE.
The objective is simple:
Establish whether badge 007 is discovered again.
If a new detective finds Shrimpy in Florida and submits a report, HQ may finally be able to establish her whereabouts.
Until then, the suspect's precise location remains unknown.
Investigators have requested that the Florida watchlist include suspicious cats, unexplained vegetable damage and any unusually tiny vampire-related incidents.
🕵️ Detective Shrimps — Commendation
Despite the considerable paperwork created by this incident, Cat Crimes HQ would like to thank Detective Shrimps.
The detective reported that discovering Shrimpy "made me smile."
And now, by re-hiding the badge across the Atlantic, Detective Shrimps has given another person the opportunity to experience that same little surprise.
That is exactly what Cat Crimes is all about.
A tiny badge. A little adventure. And another chance to help people discover the rescue cats behind the mischief.
🚨 Current Investigation Status
🟢 Badge 007: Recovered at Mabel's Coffee Lounge.
🕵️ Detective: Shrimps.
✈️ Reported Relocation: Florida, USA.
📍 Exact Hiding Place: Unknown.
🦇 Vampire Status: Unconfirmed.
🥬 Vegan Status: Also unconfirmed.
🌴 Operation Sunshine: Active — Awaiting new evidence.
Final HQ Assessment
Shrimpy, otherwise known as The Tiny Vampire, has reportedly been re-hidden in Florida following her discovery at Mabel's Coffee Lounge.
Whether this represents an attempt to evade the ongoing dietary investigation or the beginning of an international feline crime spree remains unknown.
What is certain is that Cat Crimes has now received a report of one of its wanted criminals travelling all the way across the Atlantic.
INTERNAL NOTICE:
Please stop asking whether Shrimpy travelled in a coffin or a vegetable crate.
We do not have the evidence to support either theory.
Also, the International Feline Division is currently one detective and a very confused stapler.
CASE STATUS: OPEN — INTERNATIONAL RE-HIDE REPORTED. AWAITING FURTHER SIGHTINGS.
Florida residents are advised to remain vigilant.
Particularly around garlic, salad bars and suspiciously small creatures with pointy teeth.
